Once Formatted you can load Paragraph Style sheets to a new document in a flash.
InDesign will do all it can to make your life easier, especially when adhering to Corporate Guidelines or producing similar documents on a regular basis.
Once you have set up InDesign Paragraph Style Sheets you can easily load these styles to any new document you create as long as that document is available on your computer or server, so you do not have to go through and format everything from scratch.
Loading Paragraph Style Sheets to a new document
- In a new document select the Paragraph Styles Panel from the Window Menu > Styles > Paragraph Styles.
- Go to the Paragraph Style panels fly out menu on the top right hand side of the panel and select Load Paragraph Style and the Open a File dialogue box will launch.
- Select the document that contains the Paragraph Styles you want to use.
- This will launch the Load Styles Dialogue Box. Select the Paragraph Styles
- you want to use, click okay and they are then available for you to use in your new document.
InDesign will show you any conflicting styles so you don’t end up with some rogue styles!
